Hi!!!!!!!!

“Notes on the Piano Teacher” by Veronica Phillips

A review of The Untamed by Soraya Sebghati

“But I’m a Christian Camp Counselor: Finding Queer Community in Unexpected Places” by Sam Goodyear

A review of Lisa Frankenstein by Leah Carlson-Downie

“The Bikeriders: Edge of Desire” by August Hammel

High Femme has so many people to thank for even coming to the sweet little indie fruition it has already. Both the writers already published plus a handful to come were patient and kind through endless timeline shifts and scattered plans. Our iconic logo was designed by the supremely talented Audrey Durazzo, whose work (and contact info for commission!) can be found on her Instagram @/duraznart. And a million thank yous to Mariana over at Screen Speck for sitting with me over Zoom and allowing me to ask her all sorts of questions and build this little site from scratch.
For all of this to work, we do have to spend just a little time begging you for monetary support if you have any to spare.
In Julia Cameron’s The Artist Way, she writes about a sticky note she has by her desk that reads “Leap, and the net will appear.” This is exactly what I am doing with High Femme. We are netless and relying entirely on hopes of getting some donations so that we can write about tentacle sex movies and general horndoggery without any grubby censorship industry hands on us. (We also are saving up for an LLC for those same reasons on a legal front!).
Our big goals for the site in the first stages are:
Paying our writers within a reasonable timeline.
Covering the costs of the site running.
Obtaining an LLC.
If you have even a couple of bucks to spare, we would be so grateful. You can donate at our Ko-Fi here: https://ko-fi.com/highfemme
Thank you again for being here! We will see you next week!
